The Word Today, in the fast-paced world we live in, we are inundated with mass media from every direction. It seems like just about everyone has something to sell. It is a sad thing to concede that the large part of the Christian community engages in the same practice. Instead of making merchandise of the Gospel, why don't we give it away for free? Christ tells us in Matthew 10:8 that as we have freely received, we are to freely give! We live in an exciting, but sobering time. For many years, Christians around the world have been persecuted for distributing the Word in printed form. I believe that as these dramatic technological developments have been given us, making it ever easier to distribute the Gospel, we have become much more accountable as Christians to reach that many more souls for Christ. I believe quite frankly, that we are running out of time, and that is one reason that the ability to reach so many people has come within easy grasp of just a few determined people.
